I had a great stay at Aloft Sarasota and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable, with a bright, upbeat atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in. The rooms are well‑designed, the lobby feels fresh and welcoming, and the overall vibe is relaxed but stylish — perfect for a Florida getaway. The location is one of the best parts. Aloft Sarasota is close to all the key spots: Lido Beach, St. Armands Circle, Bayfront Park, Siesta Key, and the downtown restaurants and cafés. It made exploring Sarasota incredibly easy, and everything I wanted to see was just a short drive away. But what truly made my stay memorable was the service, especially from Nick at the valet. He was the friendliest and warmest person I encountered during my time there. Every time I arrived or left, he addressed me by name, greeted me with genuine kindness, and made me feel completely welcome. That level of personal attention is rare and really stood out. Nick’s professionalism, warmth, and positive energy elevated my entire experience, and he deserves special recognition for the way he goes above and beyond for guests.

Came here for my mom's 68th bday weekend and was pretty disappointed with the overall experience. The venue is not as clean as one would hope for a 4 star hotel. During check-in, the staff forgot to give us our breakfast voucher for the next day, but by using the Marriott app to communicate with staff this was easily resolved and I obtained the voucher. Our beds were comfortable in the room, but the floor had some trash on it, presumably from a prior guest. When going to the pool later on, it was crowded with loud children. The pool bar attendant said that the kids often do whatever they want since there is no security and parents don't watch their children. We decided to get drinks and lounge but not go in the pool. Many of the parents were in the pool with drinks despite signs stating not to bring food or drinks into the pool. The children were running around the pool and even hit my mother with an inflatable ball. It was a very upsetting experience and I wish there had been some responsible parents, or staff in charge of corralling the children as it was very much a damper on our weekend. Excellent Location & Rooms, but Subpar Food & Disappointing Service (see great dining recommendations below): I would highly recommend staying here for the comfortable, clean, and very spacious rooms with a fantastic location. It is central to Sarasota and within walking distance of downtown, which offers a plethora of amazing places to eat. Two quick tips for your stay: make sure to bring cash for valet parking (or they do take Venmo) and be aware of the shower height. The showerhead was fine for me at 5'5", but anyone over 5'8" will have to duck to get under it. This might have been unique to my room, but it is worth inquiring about upon booking. That being said, I am giving it 4 stars because the hotel's food is subpar, overpriced, and accompanied by disappointing customer service. The free "ice cream" is terrible, but the real disappointment was the happy hour pretzel. It was not fresh-baked crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy/chewy on the inside but overly soft on the outside and visibly off in texture and mushy on the inside—classic signs of being microwaved. I could only manage two bites before I could no longer swallow it. They are much better at a ballpark. When
